Lusk, Dominic Michael, is an Afro-American and came to this world on April, 1st, in the year 1962 in Texas. Dominic Lusk was born 1000 days behind his elder sister (Lynda) and 24 months before his younger brother (Richard) in Texas. Much of his early years was lived in absolute lack of awareness about the big African - American civil rights stir that engulfed the entire countey; the which was responsible for him and his fellow men to lead their lives with respect and independence. His standard Afro- American upbringing had been rigid, disciplinarian and yet, full of love and affection. His Mom and Dad did not have the luxury of education and were employed as unskilled workers; that did not allow a good life style but they assured that their kids were never deprived of any of their basic needs. The importance of education was not lost on Dominic's parents and they did all things possible to enable all their children to go to school.

Dominic was an above average student and still takes satisfaction from the fact that he was better than his siblings at education. In the year 1975, Dominic's father wanted to join his brother's business and the Lusk family relocated to Kansas City, because of this. Dominic continued with his schooling in Dominic Lusk Kansas City and at the same time, started to help his father and uncle in their milk delivery business. His teens was as regularly common, as his childhood was. Dominic by now was well acquainted with his culture and happy for the relative independence that his generation enjoyed. Dominic Lusk's greatestforemost influence at this age was not Martin Luther King but unexpectedly, an African American fire fighter by the name Robert Lowery, who became the first black fire commissioner in the country. Dominic nurtured a desire to become a fire fighter like his role model. When he completed school with decent grades, he shared this desire with his parents and also informed them that he had no desire to continue bigger Studies. His parents had to hesitantly abide to this and Dominic promptly joined the fire service of Dominic Lusk Kansas City to live his dream.

As the time passed by, Dominic's allure and attractiveness for fire fighting steadily lessened as he understood that the fire fighter's job was tough, demanding and thankless; which required long hours and very little rewards. His lack of higher education also narrowed his opportunities to grow up the work ladder. But, he had a steady job that paid adequately. In 1986, he married Nancy (who is his long lost relative from his mother%u2019s side), after a courtship of almost 700 days. Dominic's and Nancy's son William was born in the year 1988 and that is when Dominic realized that he had to finish higher studies to provide better for his family. He took up private studies and since he had always been a above average student, he was able to finish his graduation within four years. Just before his graduation, Dominic was given a chance to move to the administrative division in the fire service department. He gratefully moved and still continues to work there till date. The years between 1993 and 2003 were normal work wise but was full of sorrow personally. He lost his father in 1994, his mother passed away in 1998 and his life partner left this abode in 2003. What a sorrowful period of 10 years!

Dominic Lusk chose not to marry again after his wife's demise and decided to be a single parent to William. William is 20 years old today and is on the verge of completing his graduation. Dominic%u2019s duties towards his family are almost done and he now is looking forward to the day when he can live for himself; he wants to start his carefree childhood all over again!
